Messy Church
Messy Church at Walton Methodist Church
Our team are a fantastic group of people, with skills that enable lots of different crafts to be made, lots of fun, good games outside, songs and stories and always food made to link in with the stories. Often there are ideas for the children to make food items as well.
The planning meetings are great fun and we all look forward to the last Saturday in the month when we can have another time to be Messy.

At the moment Messy Church is not happening at Walton.

We are hoping to start Messy Church again on the last Saturday of the month in the autumn.
Do keep checking this page for updates.

History of Messy Church
Messy Church began in April 2004 in an Anglican church near Portsmouth and now takes place in many churches worldwide. It's a church for families who find it hard to go to church on a Sunday and it typically includes an open welcome time, a creative "messy" time, a celebration (worship) time, and a shared meal.
Messy Church aims to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to worship together, to help people of all ages feel they belong in church and to each other, and to introduce Jesus through hospitality, friendship, stories and worship.
