Prayer underpinned and permeated Jesus’ life and ministry, and we see corporate prayer as an important part of community life at Walton Methodist Church.

Walton Methodist Church's Prayer Group meets at 8am every Saturday on WhatsApp.

We used to meet physically, at the church, but since Covid-19, when we could not meet Face to Face, we have continued to meet 'virtually' via WhatsApp.

The group has been meeting since 1998 and prays about specific prayer requests, as well as for our world, nation, local community and Church.

If you would like prayer for yourself or someone else - you can email the Prayer Group using the contact form below with “Prayer Request” in the subject line.  There is also a prayer request book on the table in the Narthex which the Prayer Group refers to. Minimal details can be written in this book and no identification is needed when writing the requests. We will pray for you in our next meeting.

During our Sunday morning communion services, anointing with oil and prayers for healing and wholeness are also quietly given separately for anyone who requests them.
