Friendship Club

Programme

Over 50 years ago our club started to give our young mothers an opportunity to meet together for a chat and a cup of tea, while some of the older ladies of the church looked after their children. As the children grew up and so did the mothers, the name of the club was changed to 'The Wives Friendship Club' with a more structured programme. The name was changed once more to 'Friendship Club' and still continues meeting in the church hall on the first and third Mondays of the month at 8pm.

We have a varied programme, as you can see to the right. We use the skills of our members as well as having some really good speakers. We have a New Year dinner in January at a local restaurant, and in May each year, we have an outing to a place of interest followed by a cream tea. During the summer months we hold two coffee evenings in the gardens of members and raise money for local charities. We also participate in church activities.

All ladies are very welcome to join us, to enjoy fellowship and friendship.
